Who is Yasharsphotos?
and did he really swing off the side of a mountain?
Hmmm..who’s going to capture one
of the most important days of my life?
That could be me, Yashar!
I love going to concerts
I have a cat named Pishi (it literally means “kitty” in Farsi)
I believe all love and bodies deserve to be photographed, that no one is illegal on stolen land, and that Black Lives Matter
I’ve lived in Yosemite for 2 summers now and jump at every chance to go back
I’m a proud owner of a 2012 Nissan Rogue. I drove it to Yosemite from Houston, TX and it has just recently forgiven me for that
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in Houston, TX. I love photographing weddings, elopements, and meaningful moments for people who care deeply about their stories and the people in them.
I’ve had a passion for photography for over 10 years. I started out mainly taking photos at concerts but eventually realized I also wanted to connect with the subjects I’m taking photos of. I know its cheesy but I’m a lover of love, so, I started taking photos of people in love.
Then a few years ago, a series of unexpected events led me to live in Yosemite National Park for five months. That season of my life, bats flying into my room included (ahhh), ended up being one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I saw the Milky Way with my own eyes, hiked Half Dome, swung off the side of a mountain, met incredible people, and spent every day surrounded by nature.
I’ve since returned to Houston, TX, but that time in Yosemite shaped how I see the world and my work. I’ve now lived in Yosemite for two summers, and it’s where my love for intimate, nature-filled love stories really grew.
I’m inspired by love, kind people, travel, music, art, and stories that feel honest and personal. I believe everyone, of ALL backgrounds, deserve photos that feel true to who they are and that they can look back on and smile.
Your day should feel like you. My role is to create space for you to be fully present while I document your story in a way that feels cinematic, romantic, and real. Whether that’s in Yosemite, Houston, or your own backyard.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect and capture some of your memories. Submit an inquiry and lets gets started!
